Tambre Herndon is the author of Introspective Warrior, and founder of Higher Calling Ministry. Higher Calling Ministry currently operates as a musical worship ministry performing original and current worship songs via the internet and by appearances at various christian organizations.
Tambre has been a spokesperson for various womens conference groups. In the 1980's she was also closely involved with a local homeless shelter and in prison ministry offering the hope presented through the gospel and testimony to those in great need. The ministry helped to raise funding for support of the local homeless shelter. For fourteen years Tambre's music ministry of Servant's Heart travelled sharing testimony and worship over three states.
In 1995 Servants Heart disbanded. Tambre later began writing a journal of inspiration and guidance which she felt was originally intended for herself and her children. It was intended to be a written testimony of God to be passed to her children. However it was not long before there was an interest in these writings which led to the blog which is now read throughout the world.
Higher Calling Ministry is a partner with God's Ministry in providing for the special needs of disabled children and veterans. The ministry, along with God's Mission Ministry provides wheelchair ramps and home modifications at no cost to disabled persons to allow for more personal independence. Gods Ministry also provides counseling and spiritual support for newly disabled veterans. Our ministry is also active in assisting with the Safe Shelter organization for abused women and children. The ministry aids by providing cost for transportation to relocate families and by supplying aid for everyday needs. The website will soon be providing montly bios and photos of ministry activities.
Introspective Warrior is a blog outreach of Higher Calling Ministry offering christian perspective and application of biblical principles through the eyes of the author. It has been published on a monthly basis in the Spirit News and is available at the blog website. In an effort to consolidate with The Introspective Warrior website, we will be posting periodic columns which are published in christian newspapers and to the blog site.
As of 06/2017, We have entered into a partnership with Family Promise of Bryan County. The organization consists primarily of a community of churches assisting low income families offering financial and spiritual aid. Their website can be viewed at www.familypromisebryancounty.org.
